I started Health Education Works because I truly believe that the key to improving health is to be our own ‘doctor’. An educated patient is an empowered patient. No need to place all your faith in your doctor. Be inspired. Be empowered. Take control of your health!

Q: Who are we and what do we do?

A: Health Education Works provides clinical consultation and training to improve your overall quality of life.  The biggest difference between us and a personal training studio is the fact that we have clinical training to address your chronic conditions (i.e. diabetes, hyperlipidemia, muscular-skeletal).  We focus on health behavior changes and not just losing weight and looking good.  Our goal is to improve your health by focusing on prevention and even reversing your conditions.  We just don't focus on exercise and nutrition but the 'whole' you to ensure you reach your health goals.

Q: I’m interested in joining Health Education Works – How do I get started?

A: You can start at any point in time.  Because we offer a comprehensive health service, we take on very few clients.  Space is limited so please use the contact form at the bottom of this page.

Q: What if I have NEVER trained OR I have training experience elsewhere?

A: Every single person has to start somewhere. It is easy to find elitist athletes on television, YouTube, Instagram, and various media outlets. Most who don’t train think we are all like that. This is simply not true. It doesn't matter where you are now but you must be open and willing to embrace change. We are here to help you reach your potential!

Q: What kind of training do your programs involve?

A: All of our programs incorporate four basic concepts:

1) Stability and Balance:

  • Functional Exercises

    • Exercise ball

    • Balance board

2) Strength and Conditioning

  • Functional Exercises

    • Weight training

    • Resistance band training

    • Kettlebells

3) Power

  • Functional Exercises

    • Plyometrics

    • High-intensity interval training

    • Jump rope

4) ROM and Flexibility

  • Functional Execises

    • Stretching

Q: How much does it cost to join?

A: Please see fee schedule as cost varies based on program.

The individual attention we provide each member to your health, nutrition, and fitness more than substantiates what we charge our clients.    Why visit with a personal trainer, then get referred to a nutritionist, and lastly check-in with your doctor?  Health Education Works is basically a one-stop-shop for your health needs. In fact, our rates are far less than most other facilities with a lot more benefit.

Q: Contracts, deposits, & registration fees?

A. We do not require members to agree to any long-term contract or any hefty deposits. Members may opt out of their agreement with written notice received two-weeks in advance.

Q: Do you offer nutritional support?

A: Yes.  We are clinically trained and well versed in the nutrition field.  Nutrition plans are individualized and will be developed according to specific needs and goals.   This service is included.

Q: Is your program difficult?

As long as you are confident and motivated, you will be supported every step of the way regardless of your skill level or experience.

Q: When can I start?

A: We can start your program as soon as you are ready to join. Please email mike@HealthEducationWorks.com to join us. We look forward to speaking with you.
